Scottish Government: Businesses benefit from £727 million rates relief

More than 150,000 properties across Scotland receive non-domestic rates relief.

Responding to the publication of the 2023-24 Non-domestic rates relief statistics, Public Finance Minister Ivan McKee said:

“These non-domestic rates relief figures clearly show the Scottish Government supporting businesses across the country – with properties across Scotland benefiting from £727 million in relief.

“Our Small Business Bonus Scheme remains the most generous of its kind in the UK, and benefits over 110,000 properties in Scotland to a value of £239 million.

“We will continue to do all we can to support businesses and work with them to make the most of Scotland's economic opportunities, in turn generating wealth to invest in our public services.”
