The King's Fund publishes digital content on 2019 Gov manifesto on health and social care

The King's Fund has published a new piece of digital content giving an evidence-based assessment of whether the government has met its 2019 manifesto commitments on health and social care.

Ahead of an expected general election later in 2024, the explainer details the 14 commitments made on health and care in the 2019 Conservative manifesto and uses available data to assess whether they have been met.  

The King's Fund recently also identified three priorities where national action from a future government will help ‘fix’ the NHS and social care and improve people’s health:

• improve access to out-of-hospital care
• make careers in health and social care more attractive
• tackle the biggest risk factors affecting people’s health.
